Mobile Legends originally came out in 2016 but it already feels like it's been around forever. Three years is also a relatively long-time to wait for a major upgrade to a competitive gaming title, but get ready as developer Moonton just announced MLBB 2.0 during their recently held Moonton Epicon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

For us, the biggest announcement is not actually the full Land of Dawn map, but a move to a new engine (Unity 2017) that will turbocharge your mobile gaming experience. If you don't want to watch the video, here are the key points:

  • Startup time will average 10 seconds versus 25 previously
  • Loading a game will average 5 seconds versus 15
  • Better character modeling without affecting performance (potato phone owners, rejoice!)
  • A revamped, neater interface
  • A Russian hero!

All those loading improvements = more games during your lunch break.

There's no release date yet, but we hope they release it before the 2019 SEA Games in November. It's an official eSport during the event after all!
