“Bringing the legendary Supra here is something we have always wanted to do, and we are positive that there are countless Toyota fans out there who share the same enthusiasm,” said TMP First Vice President Ms. Cristina Arevalo. “The Supra, above and beyond, embodies Toyota’s pledge of making ever-better cars.”

Making a comeback after 17 years, the Legendary Supra made its international debut in the Detroit Autoshow in January of this year. This fifth generation Supra is also the first global Toyota Gazoo Racing model, with all units manufactured at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria.  Toyota Gazoo Racing, or GR, is Toyota’s performance development group.  The result is the culmination of Toyota’s racing expertise.

The Supra was driven on a wide range of roads around the world during its development, snow-covered paths, the Autobahn, freeways in the United States, and winding roads in Japan.

The locally available All-New Toyota GR Supra is powered by a twin-scroll turbocharged, 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder engine, which puts out a maximum 335Hp with 500Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission

The Supra has a 50:50 front-rear weight distribution, which allows for optimum cornering performance. Contributing to this is the highly rigid chassis, body frame engineering and wheelbase-to-tread ratio of 1.55*1 resulting in exceptional turning and response.  It’s equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension, with the front end riding on double-joint type MacPherson Struts and the rear on Multi-Link suspension.  It has a Limited Slip Differential and ventilated brakes.

As a testament to Gazoo Racing’s commitment to performance, the All-New Toyota GR Supra was recently driven by none other than Toyota Motor Corporation President Mr. Akio Toyoda in the world-renowned 24-hour endurance challenge at Nürburgring.

With a stance set as low and wide as possible, which reduces lift and drag, it’s this athletic stance that evokes a dynamic look the Toyota engineers refer to as the “Condensed Extreme”.

Up front, the large grille under its ‘nose’ is flanked by two large air dams, its lines wrap around to the very prominent rear with the wide rear fenders, flared trunk lid/spoiler, trapezoidal bumper with dual exhaust pipes and diffuser. Its silhouette is accentuated by 19” forged aluminum wheels, with custom Michelin tires.

Road or racetrack illumination is provided by six-lens LED headlamps, which integrate DRLs and turn indicators.  The rear lights are combined into one unit while the LED backup reverse lights are arranged in the center of the lower bumper.

Inside the All-New Toyota GR Supra provides the best insulation and cruising experience for its driver.  The locally available units will have a purely black interior.  Carbon fiber accents provide an understated feel of luxury. The Alcantara sports seats have lumbar support with 8-way power memory adjust, and the 3-spoke leather steering wheel is tilt and telescopic adjustable.

With driving precision and forward visibility in mind, the All-New Toyota GR Supra has a narrow-sectioned dashboard and assists the driver in keeping focused on the road with an advanced Heads Up Display (HUD), responsive Paddle Shifters and an 8.8-inch TFT-LCD Multi Information Display gauge.

The center console has a new asymmetrical design that fully envelopes the driver and the padded pillar helps to cushion the right leg while maintaining roominess for the passenger.  It’s equipped with dual-zone, push-type air conditioning, a JBL12-speaker entertainment system with an 8.8-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display with Bluetooth and USB connectivity

How much for all these? Price starts at P4,990,000 and tops out at P5,090,000 for the Matte Storm Gray Metallic color option. Kayang-kaya!
