Who says you’re too old to learn how to swim?


John “Rambo” Chicano, who won our first gold medal at the 30th SEA Games in the triathlon event, was a cyclist who did not know how to swim when his mentors decided he should be a triathlete. 





According to an Inquirer report, Chicano was working in a bike shop that was owned by a coach of our national triathlon team. Since Chicano’s boss knew that he was a competitive cyclist, he thought he could transform him into a triathlete. 


And that involved teaching Chicano to swim from nothing. He learned in three months.  


So what now, takot ka pa rin sa tubig? If you’re really such a pansy, then this video might help (if it were us, we’d just thrown right into the deep end, para wala kang choice kundi matuto.):
