1. Kobe elbows Bibby in the face

We're not sure if the challenge rule can be of use in this situation but this is arguably one of the ugliest non-calls in NBA history. Sacramento was down only one point with a few seconds left on the clock. As Kobe Bryant was approaching the baseline to receive the inbound pass, he elbows Mike Bibby in the face which would have given the ball back to Sacramento for a chance to win Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. But the referees didn't call a foul forcing the Kings to foul themselves awarding Kobe with two free throws to seal the deal.

2. Kevin Durant is obviously out of bounds

In a matchup against the Houston Rockets, Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors were trying to pull off a win in OT with less than 30 seconds on the clock. Durant lost the ball on a drive but was able to save it... while being undeniably out of bounds. We're not talking about stepping on the line here. We're talking about two feet planted firmly outside the playing court. If Houston didn't end up winning this game, we would have seen a bigger outcry over this bad non-call.

3. Wade hitting Dirk and Dirk gets the foul

The Miami Heat's first title run in the Dwyane Wade era was very controversial to say the least. In both Games 5 and 6, then rising star Wade got calls even when replays clearly show that no contact occurred. But none could be more atrocious than the call in Game 6 with around 26 seconds left in the game with only a single point separating the Heat and the Mavs. Wade drives from the top of the key, planting a forearm on Dirk Nowitzki's chest in the process. Nowitzki was promptly given the foul, a call that could have easily been overturned with the new rule and could have possibly given the Mavs a chance to extend the series to Game 7.

4. Marcus Camby fouls Steve Nash

This is probably the easiest call to overturn if the Blazers had the luxury of a challenge because this also could easily be the worst foul called in the history of the NBA. With Steve Nash carrying the ball from way outside the three point line, a foul was called on Marcus Camby... who was near the free throw line about 10 feet away from Nash. Even Nash was surprised that he was fouled and was already on his way to the other side of the court when he was called back to take the free throws.

5. Dwight Howard puts his hand in the ring

The Lakers probably wouldn't have used their challenge (if they had one) this early in the game. But they could have and would easily get the call reversed in their favor. In the play, Pau Gasol went for a reverse dunk when Dwight Howard got what the referees called as a clean block. The replay showed a different story, though, as it is clearly seen that Howard's hand was inside the ring when he blocked Pau's dunk attempt making it a clear goaltending violation.
