NBA players are competitive as hell. We all know that with how they relentlessly chase rings and individual accolades throughout their careers. And sometimes, that competitive fire shows itself outside of the basketball court. In case you missed it, Portland star Damian Lillard and Sacramento’s young gun Marvin Bagley are in the middle of an intense rap battle. It all started when Bagley, while appearing on ESPN’s First Take, said that he is the best rapper in the league and would battle Lillard who has released well-received rap albums before under his Dame D.O.L.L.A. persona.

Bagley immediately backed up what he said by releasing the diss track "No Debate" soon after.

Any self-respecting rapper wouldn’t take something like this lying down. What more a rapper who has the competitive genes of an NBA superstar? Lillard took to the mic and dropped a track simply called "MARVINNNNNN!!!???"

And without waiting for Bagley to reply, Lillard doubled down with the track "Bye Bye."

Bagley finally responded with "Checkmate" but at this point we all know who won this battle.

The Sacramento Kings star had a nice response and while Lillard was the first one to call a truce (because he’s working on his third rap album), he had already brought too much heat in his two tracks for Bagley to recover. We all knew that Lillard is a legitimate MC and would be hard to top but Bagley proved that he’s no slouch in the rap game either. All in all, the rap feud was fun while it lasted. We got four great rap tracks out of it and has once again proven that the NBA is the best league on the planet.
