San Juan faced its first real test of the Lakan Cup, surviving an OT thriller against Bataan, 87-79. Datu Cup Finals MVP Mike Ayonayon orchestrated an 11-point comeback to end regulation at an even 72-72 slate. Ayonayon and the rest of the Knights took care of business in overtime to deal Bataan their fourth loss in seven games and keep their own record immaculate at 7-0. John Wilson (22 points), Larry Rodriguez (11 points), and Mac Cardona (10 points) all contributed to San Juan's cause as they continue their rampage towards the Lakan Cup championship.

Bicol failed to defend their home court as they fell to Iloilo, 74-79, at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation. The Volcanoes had a chance to steal the W after trailing for most of the game courtesy of a triple from Jonathan Aldave. Aldave's triple brought Bicol to within one point but Richard Escoto and RR de Leon held the fort for Iloilo in the dying seconds to secure their 4th win of the season. Escoto finished with 21 points and 8 rebounds while de Leon nabbed 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead Iloilo. On the flip side, Bicol's Ryan Buenafe kept on firing blanks, missing all nine of his field goal attempts.
