Ali Krieger

Krieger plays as a defender and has been a US National Team staple since 2008 and has recently made her 100th appearance for the team. She has played in the top leagues in Germany, Sweden, and the United States.

Abby Dahlkemper

Dahlkemper is a another fixture on the defensive end for the US Team. She’s only been with them for three years but has represented the country in youth tournaments prior. She, and the entire defensive unit of Team USA held Netherlands scoreless en route to the championship in this year’s finals.

Alex Morgan

Alex Morgan is a goal scoring machine, once becoming the youngest American player to score 20 goals in a year. In this year’s World Cup, Morgan scored five goals against Thailand to tie a single game record achieved in 1991. This tournament, Morgan scored six goals and had three assists but was edged out by team mate Megan Rapinoe for the Golden Boot award who had exactly the same stats but played less minutes than Morgan.

Christen Press

Press is another veteran who has appeared in over 120 international matches and has scored 49 goals in her seven year national team career. She continues to play professionally in America’s National Women’s Soccer League after having stints with different clubs in Sweden.

Mallory Pugh

Pugh is one of the youngest players in the national team roster but has been a steady presence in their youth programs. Pugh shows a lot of promise at the forward spot and should be able to take on the scoring duties when her seniors inevitably retire from international play.
