1. Nike Air Trainer SC ('90)

Endorsed by two-sport super athlete, Bo Jackson, the Nike Air Trainer SC quickly became one of the most popular Nike training shoes of the 90s. The shoe has been re-released multiple times since the initial launch in 1990 and still looks pretty darn good for an almost 30-year old shoe.

2. Converse Voltage ('95)

If someone mentions Converse, most people would immediately recall the classic Chucks that were insanely popular back in the day. But in '95, Converse released the Voltage, a basketball shoe which heavily features lightning bolts in its design. Latrell Sprewell wore it during his stint with the Golden State Warriors but the shoe was mostly seen on the feet of college players including Steve Nash.

3. Reebok Court Victory Pump ('90)

The Pump is probably one of the most iconic shoe styles ever. Featuring inflatable cushions that you can adjust to your liking, it was innovative as it was striking to look at. The original Pump was released in '89, backed by the great Dominique Wilkins. But our pick goes to the Court Victory Pump worn by tennis player Michael Chang.

4. adidas EQT Elevation ('97)

Before getting his own signature line of sneakers, Kobe Bryant rocked the adidas EQT Elevation. He wore a pair of purple EQT Elevations during the '97 Slam Dunk Contest, which he won.

5. Fila Grant Hill 2 ('95)

Fila is currently enjoying a slight resurgence with their release of the Disruptor. But if we were to pick a Fila shoe that would blend in with today's dad shoe trend, it would definitely be the Grant Hill 2. Released in 1995, the shoe became even more popular after Tupac wore it in a photo that was featured inside his All Eyez On Me album.
