We’ll explain what we mean by a caveman’s bet but first, para hindi lang magulo ang usapan ha, we follow pageants because we are always on the lookout for beautiful women. But we’re not as invested as these guys:
Like everyone else, we place our bets on candidates who we think will most likely win the crown. Yes, there’s a bit of bias but only because we all have our own standards of female beauty. But so as not to complicate things, we based our choices not on the criteria beauty pageants use to pick out winners but on a more primitive instinct: we looked through the photos of all the 51 candidates and picked out those that we couldn’t help staring at for more than five seconds. It’s caveman-like, yes, but it cuts to the chase. And so our picks, in no particular order, for the 2020 Miss Universe PH happening on October 25 in Baguio are:

Alaiza malinao, Davao
Tracy Maureen Perez, Cebu
