It's like X-Men with a lot more angst and rock music. Honestly, it was really fun to watch despite it feeling like it didn't actually offer anything new to the platform. The songs they featured were also pretty cool.
I really liked most of the characters because of how much personality they had. Parang it really shows that when a group of people with loud personalities get together, things can become really dysfunctional. Klaus is definitely my favorite character because he’s fabulous! 5 is a close second fave.
Nakatulog ako first ten minutes pa lang.
Guy who read the comic
The Netflix series feels a lot more put together than the comic. I think it’s because the writers really grew as storytellers.
MCR-my/Killjoy/Diehard MCR Fan
I think this is the closest we’ll ever get to an actual MCR reunion and that makes me really sad. Despite MCR disbandment hurting a lot of their fans, it felt right to see the adaptation of Gerard’s comics reach such a huge audience because people might actually see what us fans knew all along, even though MCR was a dysfunctional family, that didn’t mean they didn’t care for each other. I feel like what Gerard said about the band really holds true, “My Chemical Romance is done. But it can never die. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you. I always knew that, and I think you did too. Because it is not a band–it is an idea.”
