Dear Ms. Jennie, Ms. Lisa, Ms, Rosé and Ms. Jisoo,

Annyeonghaseyo!

I am writing this in English but I'm sure you guys won't have any problem understanding because most of you have foreign backgrounds anyway. Let me just say I'm just another Filipino Blink going on full fan mode! I know you've heard and read countless messages like this from fans all over the world but I still want to tell you that I will forever support!

Thank you for being in our area! I'm pretty sure that right from the airport you already knew how crazy we were for you. Maybe it was too much, but I'm still happy you saw our adoring fan side. Okay, I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't watch the concert because I was broke! It was either the P19,750 ticket or nothing for me and, as you might have guessed, I ended up with nothing. Hey, I'm only 19! In the Philippines, I am what you would call #TeamBahay.

But for the other Blinks who watched, I know that they were more than satisfied seeing you guys pour your energy—selling their kidneys sure was worth it! I hope that you’ll come back again in the next five or so years. Definitely not next year! Give me time to save money and the other girls to recover from their lost kidneys ha ha ha!

I’ve witnessed how your fandom and popularity grew and I hope that you’ll remain strong through the years. Some complimented you for being the “Queens of Kpop” while some criticized you because it’s years too early to dethrone their “Queens of Kpop”, 2ne1 (#EndFanWars) but I know that you look up to your sunbaes and I hope you follow in their footsteps—except on disbandment (PLEASE DON’T DISBAND).

You know, the criticisms sometimes can really be bad, but please remain strong and united.

Ms. Jennie, you’ve been the target of most criticisms for these past few months, from your attitude to your relationship status. I’ve seen how harsh the industry is and you probably know its consequences but I just want you to know that I love your vibe—strong, independent, and someone you don’t want to mess with! Some look at you as being too arrogant because you’re being lazy in your performances but it’s not what I see. Instead, I see a strong and passionate woman who still gives her all just to perform in front of thousands.

Ms. Lisa, you’re the life of Blackpink! I wish I can have a friend like you—energetic, quirky and full of positivity. Behind all those smiles are the tears you’ve hidden from your fans. You’ve been criticized because of your nationality, but it doesn’t even affect your performance. I just love how you still manage to be as energetic as ever despite those harsh comments. The Philippines love you, we love you and we will always be here to support you no matter what—you’re still one of the greatest performer and dancer we’ve ever seen so keep slaying! (P.S. If you’re going to make love with the floor again, tell us in advance. We need to breathe!)

Ms. Rosé, my bias in the group! I’ve been in love with your voice ever since the first time I heard one of your songs. Many do not appreciate your position as the main vocalist of the group but I never doubted your vocal capacity. Your voice unique—very steady and powerful!

Ms. Jisoo, you’re beautiful inside and out! Your visual is impeccable and I also love your attitude. Yet many fail to recognize you. I just want you to know that you have your own spotlight and you will never lose it. I loved it when I saw you acting out a scene together with Ms. Dara and Ms. IU. You are not just great at singing and dancing but also at acting. I hope you’ll star in your own drama someday!

I know you'll have more years ahead of you and we, the Blinks, will remain here to support you. Congratulations on making it to Good Morning America! Conquer the world!

Much love,

Sophia , JUST ANOTHER BLINK

Sophia, 19, is your not-so-typical geek tomboy with a girly side. She’s a Korean and Japanese culture enthusiast, often spending her time watching Kdramas and anime. She’s also a big fan of the PBA, volleyball, Esports, and plays mainstream games (but sucks at some of them). She loves wrestling and is willing to use moves she has learned from WWE when pissed off.
