1. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel

Many people who already own a Switch have already played Breath of the Wild. And most, if not all, who have played it say that it is one of the best games ever regardless of the platform. Nintendo confirming that a sequel is already in development makes us extremely excited and should be enough reason for non-Switch owners to seriously consider getting one.

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3 is arguably one of the best and biggest RPGs we've played in recent memory. It was a beautiful game from start to finish and we found it very hard to put the controller down. Fortunately, you won't have to anymore. Because The Witcher 3 is going to get a port on the Switch. This is a game changer because we didn't think such a huge game will be able to run on what is generally seen as an underpowered device. If it sells well, and we think it will, there will be no reason for other third-party studios not to port their games for the console-handheld hybrid.

3. More Resident Evil

Is there any other survival horror franchise that's more popular than Resident Evil? The fact that some of the earlier RE games are available on the Switch is already something we're grateful for. Then Nintendo announces that RE 5 and 6 are also heading to the Switch. Now let's cross our fingers for the RE 2 remake to make an appearance on the eShop as well.

4. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Since the 2020 Olympics are going to be held in Tokyo and Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, actually appeared in a Mario costume during the closing ceremony in Rio, then it made a whole lot of sense for Nintendo to bring back one of the best crossover franchises in their library. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is going to be a hit at your next barkada get-together.

5. Luigi's Mansion 3

Mario has always been the bread and butter of Nintendo. But Luigi has had a sneakily good franchise of his own in Luigi's Mansion. The third installment, which is coming this year, looks like it's going to be the best in the series. The thing that makes us excited the most, though, is the optional element of co-op play with a second player controlling Gooigi, a Slimer-esque manifestation of Luigi.
