So the kikiam and eggs debacle that went viral recently was probably just a quick fix that needed to get done to tide over that one unfortunate breakfast at the 30th Southeast Asian Games. 


Because as these photos posted on Facebook posted by chef Josephine Mendoza show, athletes can chow down on good food at the Athletes Village in New Clark City:















Chef Mendoza is part of the culinary team in charge of feeding everyone participating in the SEA games. The team, led by Chef Sau del Rosario, is tasked to make sure that the food served is up to standards and is Halal for athletes who are Muslim.


We can only judge by the pictures but it looks like they’re delicious enough and there’s good variety as well. It works kasi tinakam kami eh. 


Siguro naman wala nang magrereklamo sa buffet na ‘to.
