Imagine a Star Wars with their take on things: Shock character deaths! Lightsaber ultraviolence! Twi'lek stripper tits on display! Assuming Disney lets the franchise take a properly darker twist it would be like the fan-favorite Rogue One turned to 11.
Instead they announced it right after the "worst" episode of Game of Thrones in a season that fans are just hate-watching until the end based off social media reactions.
The Rise of Skywalker wraps up the latest trilogy this December and the series takes a hiatus until 2022. Let's hope both Disney and D&D take that extra time to come up with a script that lives up to the hype of a collaboration like this. And also to watch out for any stray coffee cups.
