1. Song Cry + Thinking Out Loud

Jay-Z and Ed Sheeran was a combination we never thought could have worked. But Carlos Serrano created this gem of a mashup called "Crying Out Loud". Combining the smooth bars of Jay-Z’s Song Cry with Sheeran’s "Thinking Out Loud" guitars and chorus produced one of the smoothest rap tracks we’ve heard in decades.

2. Evidence + Oo

We knew Clara Benin can sing but it was this mashup that really made us pay attention. Putting together two of our favorite songs from UDD and Urbandub, Benin delivers a heartfelt performance (in a coffee shop of all places) that is still fun to listen to years after we first heard it.

3. Somebody That I Used To Know + Stay + Thank U Next + Since U Been Gone + We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Creating a good, clean mashup with two songs is already a difficult task, but Pomplamoose pulls off the nearly impossible by creating this banging mashup with five of the most popular breakup songs of this generation. What amazes us is how cohesive the song feels despite putting together elements from very different songs and artists.

4. Everlong + What You Won’t Do For Love

Elise Trouw uses a looper to create this mashup of Bobby Caldwell’s "What You Won’t Do For Love" and "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters. These are two songs that have no business being played together but somehow she makes it work. Elise gets bonus points for singing and playing four different instruments in the track.

5. Listen + Jopay

It’s rare for the original artists to be involved in mashups featuring their songs, but the guys from Stonefree and Mayonnaise played (and absolutely killed) this epic mashup of their hit tracks "Listen" and "Jopay". It’s definitely something we didn’t think we needed in our lives but it’s here and we are not complaining at all.
