The 61st Grammy Awards is done and we have a new batch of winners that will take their place in music history. There are a lot of recognizable names in this year's winner's circle including Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino. But among the more popular names are artists we know very little, or absolutely nothing, of. Here's a list of this year's winners that you probably have never heard of.

1. H.E.R. - Best R&B Album, Best R&B Performance

Gabi Wilson has been in the music industry for a few years already, releasing a single in mid-2014. A couple of years after, Wilson rebranded herself as H.E.R. and has since become one of the fastest rising stars in R&B. Aside from bagging the award for Best R&B album for her self-titled album, her collaboration with Daniel Caesar for "Best Part" was also awarded Best R&B Performance. We'd describe her voice as smooth but that, or any other compliment, would be an understatement.

2. Steve Gadd Band - Best Contemporary Instrumental Album

If you're a drummer, then you probably already know Steve Gadd. If not, then a list of the people he has played for should be enough: Eric Clapton, Frank Sinatra, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, and Jon Bon Jovi just to name a few. His own band features some of the most talented musicians in the industry and it shows in their songs. Not everyone is keen on listening to instrumental tracks but we highly urge you to give this band a chance.

3. St. Vincent - Best Rock Song

St. Vincent's debut album is already more than a decade old but it seems like not a lot of people know who she is. Her music is a weird mix of electronica, pop, and rock with a lot of experimental stuff thrown in for good measure. It's hard to define her music but St. Vincent vaguely reminds us of '90s band Garbage, only cleaner. Whatever it is you'd like to call her music, it's definitely a refreshing listen.

4. Greta Van Fleet - Best Rock Album

There was once a time when we all thought that Led Zeppelin's sound could never be replicated. And then Greta Van Fleet came into the scene. You can say all you want to the contrary but the similarities are blatantly obvious. We're not hating, though. The talent is apparent and we're actually glad that a band has come to (hopefully) revive this kind of music and bring it to a new generation.

5. Opium Moon - Best New Age Album

Opium Moon is not for everyone. At first listen, their music sounds like it would be more at home backing a movie scene than playing on the radio and that's not necessarily a bad thing. With members playing and creating music for TV and film, it's not surprising either. Opium Moon's music is transcendent. It's the kind of music that makes you feel things and takes you places. We haven't heard a lot of material from this band but we're definitely excited for more.
