The Philippine National Police has made a statement on viral posts regarding alleged kidnappings happening around the metro wherein a white van is involved.
Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, spokesman for the PNP, said the viral posts are mostly unverified and have no basis.
Netizens have been spreading reports of alleged kidnappings and that a certain white van is involved. One case that has really spread is that of a boy who even showed a cut on his stomach.
It turns out the boy merely ran away from his relatives. The police said that they are still validating other reports, especially the nine persons reportedly abducted and went missing.
