Everyone’s favorite medieval-era TV series is returning for its eighth season this month and we couldn’t be more excited. Who doesn’t miss seeing and hearing this on their TVs every week:

And apparently, there are people who love that introduction so much that they have gone to great lengths just to recreate it using anything from Lego bricks to cookies. So to tide you over until the season eight premiere in a few days, here are 5 of the best reimaginings of the Game of Thrones intro:

1. Oreo x GoT

Someone at Oreo’s head office must be a massive Thrones fan. The cookie company used 2,750 Oreos to recreate the entire intro sequence! Okay, so the video was made to promote limited edition GoT Oreos but that doesn’t make this less epic. We just hope that they ate the cookies they used for the shoot as not even a video this cool justifies throwing away over 2,000 Oreos.

2. Funny or Die x GoT

Funny or Die went with a 100% homemade aesthetic to their version of the GoT intro. It starts off featuring all the places we’ve come across in the 8-year run of the series, like King’s Landing and Winterfell. It fully embraces its parody status in the second half showing places like Jurassic Park, Disneyland, and even the only Apple store in Westeros.

3. Lego x GoT

We can’t imagine how much time and effort went into making this Lego version of the GoT intro sequence. It’s not a perfect recreation but it’s pretty darn close. The best parts are when the video zooms in on the individual cities and shows the moving parts.

4. Anime GoT

Not all fan-made GoT intros are straight-up recreations. This one is a reimagining of the live-action series as an anime and it is amazing. The creator goes all in, even creating an anime-style theme song complete with english words thrown in at random times. It’s perfect in every way and makes us want to see an actual GoT anime in the near future.

5. Friends x GoT

If you’re one of the (very few) people who have wondered what GoT would look like if it was made in the '90s, we’d like to say that 1. you’re weird, and 2. you’re in luck. A YouTube content creator took the the Friends intro theme and slapped on some GoT footage to come up with a mashup that works wonderfully. The use of blooper reels was a great choice as it completes the vibe the video was aiming for.
