1. Catriona Gray
We can't have this conversation without mentioning the reigning Miss Universe. She's already a hero in real life and there's no reason not to have her portray one in a movie as well.
2. Kathleen Paton
Representing the Philippines is nothing new for Kathleen Paton after bagging the Miss Teen International 2017 crown. Being born in Boracay can only help as she channels the water-based powers of Wave.
3. Pia Wurtzbach
Another Miss Universe winner, Pia Wurtzbach was, by all accounts, a great representative for the Philippines during her reign. A big plus for Pia is that she can already speak Bisaya having spent time in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro.
4. Ylona Garcia
If Wave is to make an appearance in the MCU, it's probably not going to be anytime soon. Phase 3 will end in a few months and while nothing is set in stone for Phase 4 yet, it's a long shot for Wave to be included in that window as well. Enter Ylona Garcia. She is the youngest in this list and will probably be our best bet to portray the role when Phase 5 (or later) comes along.
5. Mara Lopez
There's a lot going for Mara Lopez should she want the role of Wave. Not only does she have the look and the acting chops to take on the character, but she's already a legitimately good surfer, which can only help when they film what we assume would be a lot of water-based scenes.
