She looks back
To see if you've followed.
To see if you still want her.
And smile a little because
You won't notice, but a sigh escapes
You have.
From her lips.
She prepared herself for the possibility
Because before looking back,
That you wouldn't be there.

Goodbye for now, it's time to go
I might come back in another lifetime
I really don't know.
It was a nice stay,
I fell in and out of love.
I sank to the lowest of lows,
And flew and saw you all from up above.
But really, now, it's time to leave.
It was truly an adventure. Something I still can't believe.

In the absence of color,
I am still here. To remind you
Of the warmth of orange and the cool whispers
of blue, the nutty flavor of green and the
Rainbow that I see that is you.

You're looking but do you see?
Or has your gaze surpassed me?

She closes her eyes not to dream, but because of the simple reason that her eyes can't handle the glory of the sun. Can't face the truth that the heavenly body she loves the most, would hurt her the greatest and will leave her alone. Always. Just one.
