CHESCA WHITE HAS A GREAT TALENT FOR DRAWING!

In the first installment of our VMX Main Woman series on Chesca White, we told you that she was a boxful of surprises. First proof was that she models but she is really an English teacher—an English teacher who took up Fashion Design in college! But no, she is not confused. It turns out that Chesca is just brimming with talent. Drawing is apparently her first love and you will see here just how amazing she is with her hands!

You took up fashion design because you wanted to be in the fashion industry?

I took that up Fashion Design kasi i love drawing and parang nakita ko yon na one way na ma-ehance ko yung talent ko so I took that up.

Your personality is so complex! So your artistic side is strong—what did you see yourself doing if you had pursued Fashion Design?

Probably katulad ng ibang mga fashion students, designing for brand like Penshoppe, Bench.

Have you tried designing your own clothes?

Yeah, I've always been and I've always drawn a lot of design every time may naiisip ako

pero hangang dun lang yon.

Why? Sayang naman.

I guess it’s because I discovered that I really enjoyed teaching. Na-realize ko masarap pala magturo and then I get to meet a lot of new people from different cultures kasi iba ibang lahi ang tinuturuan ko eh and then I get to share their experiences. I really can’t explain the satisfaction I get—I just feel happy doing the teaching gig. Masaya ako kahit pumapasok ako ng maaga noon. It’s also the reason why I got a certificate to teach abroad.
