First off, let us just say how very kind the gene pool gods have been to Ina Raymundo. We mean, really, how is it possible that a 43-year-old (she’s turning a year older in December) mother of five—keep that in mind, five—can still manage to make herself so hot, so much so that she looks almost like a sister to her daughter Erika Rae in this video they recently posted on social media to celebrate Erika’s turning 18, a video that not only has turned viral but will most likely become a classic:

Which is also to say that Erika Rae has been so blessed to take after her mother. We’re sure Ina would not mind at all if we say that her daughter looks very ready to eclipse her in the hotness department. She should be proud.

Of course, Ina’s diehard fans who go way back to when she became the original Sabado Nights girl of San Miguel Beer would consider this up for debate—but it’s going to be a difficult debate considering that the apple really does not fall far from the tree, in the case of this sizzling mom-daughter tandem.

Here’s a trivia: Ina Raymundo was a fresh 18-year-old with practically no showbiz experience when she was picked for the San Miguel Beer ad in the ‘90s that kicked off the whole iconic Sabado Nights girl figure. If you were already when that commercial first came out, see it again as you bang your head to the classic Rizal Underground song that soundtracked a whole generation. If you’re a Gen Z with no idea what’s being talked about here, a history lesson is in order. Watch:

This commercial made Ina a star in the 90s and was later spun off into a full-length movie. It also secured for Ina a permanent place in the local showbiz galaxy.

We are doing San Miguel Beer a favor—if you think this is the right time to bring back the Sabado Nights girl, who else is the true heir to Ina than her daughter herself? You got yourself the perfect new girl. She is a surefire hit. You're welcome.
