It makes us sad that as Filipinos, we don't seem to appreciate the beauty of the Philippines. We tend to always want to go out of the country for vacation trips. True, foreign countries might be more advanced, the government might actually be made up decent people, and experiencing other cultures is a great way to build character, but we think it's important to not look too far away from what's in front of us unless we want to miss something truly worthwhile. It's unfortunate that we have to reminded of how beautiful our country really is by someone like Giulia Paviani who just visited, but we thank her from the bottom of our hearts for making us realize that it is so. Maybe being beautiful herself allows her to see things in a different light?
When traveling do you prefer staying in cities or provinces?
Because of my work I tend to live in big cities and I like
it. I also love spending time in the provinces but as a city girl, I tend to miss the fast-paced lifestyle the metro offers.
But how did you like Boracay?
I loved Boracay! It was so beautiful and I can't wait to go back on for a personal vacation!
As a seasoned traveler, would you have any tips for beginners?
The tip I always have for anyone who asks me is to not be afraid of adventure. Always try to live as close to how the locals live. Eat typical food, learn about their culture, and don't forget to make friends along the way!
